Personal settings

Personal settings covers everything about how Taikon looks and behaves for you personally, as opposed to anything your organization configures for everyone. Open it from the gear icon next to your name in the sidebar footer.

The Account tab shows your display name and email, both read-only since they come from your organization’s sign-in. It also has a toggle, “Show broker governance details in chat,” which controls whether extra governance detail is visible alongside your conversations. See Governance & audit for what that detail describes.

The Appearance tab is a theme choice: Dark, Light, or System. System follows your operating system’s light/dark setting live, so it switches automatically if you change it at the OS level while Taikon is open.

The Chat tab controls how your conversation history is handled on this device:

  • Persist chat history on this device turns local storage of your sessions on or off.
  • Turns to keep, a number from 5 to 200, controls how much of each conversation is kept in that local storage. It is disabled while persistence is off.
  • Agent instructions, a textarea capped at 2000 characters with a live counter, adds your own instructions to every new chat you start on this device.

The modal’s footer has Sign out, which ends your session and returns you to your organization’s sign-in page, and Close, which closes the settings modal without signing you out.
