User Guide
This section documents every screen and control you see as a Taikon user: signing in, the Home screen, chatting with agents, the files explorer, connections, schedules, workflows, your inbox, and personal settings. Each page after this one covers a single screen and walks through its controls in the order they appear.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”Taikon signs you in through your organization’s own sign-in page, not a separate Taikon account. Once you authenticate, what you can see and do inside Taikon depends entirely on what your administrator has granted your account or the groups you belong to. See Governance & audit for how that permission checking works.
The Home screen
Section titled “The Home screen”After you sign in, Taikon lands you on the Home screen. It greets you by name and shows a quick-start composer: a text box asking “How can I help you today?” Type a request and press Enter, or press the Send button, to route straight into a new chat with that request already sent.
Below the composer are five topic chips: Write, Learn, Code, Life stuff, and From Drive. Clicking one pre-fills a starter prompt for that topic and submits it right away, so you land in chat with a conversation already under way.
The sidebar
Section titled “The sidebar”The sidebar is where you move between every part of Taikon:
- New chat clears your current conversation and starts a fresh one.
- Workspace nav lists Chat, Files, Connections, Schedules, Workflows, and Inbox. Which of these you see depends on what your organization has granted you: Connections only appears if your organization has at least one connector provider configured, and Schedules and Workflows only appear if you have been granted the matching permission. An item’s absence from the sidebar is a convenience, not the actual security boundary. The underlying action is still checked on the server every time, whether or not you can see a menu item for it.
- Per-agent entries appear below the workspace nav, one row for every agent you are directly assigned to. See Agents & tasks for what an agent is.
- Session history lists your past chat sessions below the nav, with a filter box for finding one by name and a toggle for showing only scheduled sessions.
- A collapse toggle near the top of the sidebar switches it to a narrow, icon-only rail when you want more room for the main screen.
- The footer shows your display name and a gear icon. The gear opens your personal settings; see the Personal settings guide for every tab inside it.
Where to go next
Section titled “Where to go next”- Chat covers the composer’s palettes, attachments, personality editor, the skill timeline, and the approval modal.
- Files covers navigating, uploading, renaming, and deleting files.
- Connections covers linking, checking, and revoking Google Drive and OneDrive.
- Schedules covers recurring and one-off scheduled runs.
- Workflows covers running, improving, publishing, and versioning workflows.
- Inbox covers acting on tasks delegated to you or a group.
- Personal settings covers account, appearance, and chat preferences.
- Working folder covers switching between your local workspace and a OneDrive folder.
